PayPal Extends eBay Seller Protection To Asia Pacific

The way PayPal is extending this eBay Seller protection in by putting a hold on the funds that seller receives for goods sold and receives payment via PayPal. And in case the funds were sent through a stolen credit card or if the payment was unauthorized, PayPal will return it to the rightful owner.

This simply makes me wonder if this protection is really for sellers, or buyers, or even for scammers. You know, most of us sellers would be shipping out our packages as soon as payment hits our PayPal or bank accounts and the problem is that some may not know that the money has been locked in PayPal and we have to wait for three weeks before we could initiate a withdrawal.

Imagine this happening if the goods have been shipped and payment is no longer forthcoming as we had thought because PayPal says that they have received a claim and the money is going back to its owner.

So a good seller would then be left high and dry without the goods nor money. Oh, the horror of it! It sure is our worst nightmare!
