The long awaited check from Malaysian issuing House (MIH) has arrived this morning. This is actually the balance from the application of Maxis IPO, where we sent in RM5.20 but the IPO of Maxis was subsequently adjusted to RM4.75 only, hence, we were returned the extra of RM450 for 1000 shares.
The arrival of this cheque took almost two weeks from the day that Maxis was listed. I didn't wait for it, actually, but a couple of friends kept asking me when they will be getting back their cheques. I just told them to be patient that it will arrive sooner or later. I can imagine all the red tape since Maxis IPO was oversubscribed by I don't remember how many times now.
Anyway, I had felt that RM5.20 for Maxis IPO was too expensive and I know that many people thought so too. Luckily, the price was adjusted to RM4.75, a more attractive price to me and I am happy that I decided to apply for it and had the luck to be successful in my ballot.

i have call up MIH for 2 weeks and they ask me to send a letter to reissue the check, but so far no response yet....really disappointed on their service. the customer service didn't pick up my call some more.
So sorry to hear of your problems. I'm sure you will eventually receive your refund. MIH can't afford to mess up like this!
I suspect MIH didn't send out the cheques at all...May be want to delay ...
Anyway, my refund cheque just ready for collection yesterday....really terrible

I until now still haven't receive my cheque... Going to send a letter to them as they requested... sometimes so frustrated with them, call at 2:30pm, but they are still lunch since 12pm...
