This Chinese New Year, I had wanted to buy a red cheongsam. It's a traditional Chinese costume that frankly, not everyone could carry the look without feeling like a dumpling. If you look at the image I have enclosed, you would understand what I mean! I actually tried out a few at a boutique last week while looking for Chinese New Year clothes. They have to red to follow tradition, but after trying on a few cheongsam dresses, I gave up. They all gave away my tummy. SIGH. I guess I would need the help of quick trim extreme burn before I could even attempt to wear a cheongsam in public.
I know that there are ladies of all shapes and sizes who wear cheongsam too but to me, I don't just want to be in one. I want to look good in one. Anyway, I’ll make another attempt next Chinese New Year!
