Last week, my bank called me up to offer me an American Express gold card, which is a charge card. I already have a credit card with them and apparently, these charge cards are only offered to their customers with good credit scores. I have no idea what my credit score is but I don't carry a credit card balance as I make sure that I settle the bill in full every month.
In the end, although I am tempted to accept the charge card, it is American Express gold card, after all, I turned down the offer. Still, I was interested enough to find out more about charge cards and the difference between charge and credit cards.
While credit cards come with a credit limit, charge cards don't. Also, while we do not have to settle our credit card bill in full and are only required to make a minimal payment if we so wish, charge cards require us to pay our bill in full or heft interest would be charged. It's called a charge card, you know? LOL
