Recently, as mentioned in one of my earlier posts, I did an advertising blitz for my WebStore.
To comply with the standard format, an advertiser has to provide the URL, of course, the address of the brick and mortar store, if available, contact numbers and e-mail address.
Being an online store, and selling solely online, I did not provide my mailing address but I did leave my e-mail address publicly so that I am contactable.
However, there are people who are so free and go scouring the web, the classifieds boards or advertising directories and harvest e-mail addresses from there. Since then, I have received some spam mail.
Right now, it is still manageable but I can't tell what will happen five or ten years down the line.
To be honest, there's no use spamming me because I will think a hundred times about giving business to my spammer.
