I received an e-mail from Walski69 alerting me about International Women's Day solidarity action for Women Bloggers. March 8th is International Women's Day and female bloggers as well as pro-women male bloggers are supposed to unite today to celebrate womanhood. We are to dedicate a post or two or a whole day's worth of posts to women.
In line with this, I would like to dedicate today to all women etraders. Ecommerce is a very tough nut to crack. I know. I have been in it for over two years. Most etraders are men but because everyone is shielded by the screen, etrader is a level playing field, although no doubt, it is equally competitive as the real business world.
The internet is still dominated by male users in Malaysia, although more and more females are jumping in thanks to education and exposure and many utilize the bandwidth to do something constructive and looking at the internet as a money making resource.
Women has always been resourceful and with the income earned through etrading and other online means, women can be financially independent and this will change the way they are treated by society.
More power to women!
