Did you notice that when you go shopping, you will be approached by people touting credit card offers? I have had my fair share of declining such offers. The offers, benefits and loyalty programmes are tempting enough and it is very easy to apply for more than one credit card, even with only one pay cheque. However, the problem comes at the end of the month when it is time to settle our credit card bills. That's why I would rather not have too many credit cards.
People who have credit cards should be responsible enough not to misuse it. Spending may be easy but the interest rates are very high and most people may find it hard to pay their credit card debts off. Many people I know are bankrupt from overspending on their credit cards even at a young age. This is like a 21st century social disease.
If I were asked which the best credit card is, I would suggest the secured or pre-paid credit cards. Although interest is higher, but one has better control over his spending which is great.
