Some of you may remember that I bought this Nokia E61i device which I am totally unhappy with and it is like a bad marriage between us because it is too costly for me to change another phone and yet it is giving me quite a handful of problems.
One of the problems is that it heats up VERY fast. In fact, I managed to change another unit a couple of weeks after I bought my phone. The second unit is slightly better but it is still so hot whenever I charge my phone or use it as a modem to get online.
Sometimes I simply have to unplug for fear that it will fry the mechanism inside. I know this is totally unnatural but I have read many forums and no E61i owner has made such a complaint before. Is it just me?
I came across this little nifty gadget called Temperature@lert USB Sensor with Email Alerts, which I think would be a good alert for me if I place it by my phone when I am charging the battery or using it as a modem to go online and it will send me an email alert when the temperature rises above the level that I have set.
I really need to monitor my phone you know. I am so afraid that it will get burnt and there goes my MYR1800! *gasp* There was once it went so hot that the keypad was very rubbery. I nearly even burnt my hands when I tried to unplug the cable. Creeps!
