Not too long ago, I wrote on PayPal's Visual Enhancements and mentioned that I have gotten used to the new logo that I do not remember how the old logo looks like anymore. Then I went to a few online stores which accept PayPal and I still see their old logo around.
However, today, PayPal rolled out new buttons for merchants now, though those who hotlink their PayPal images and buttons (smart move!) have them changed automatically while those who hosted the buttons on their own server will have to change them by themselves. There is no mention that it is compulsory to change them, just recommendation.
PayPal has gone orange on their buttons, I know not where the colour came from. Maybe they are already fed up with the old colour scheme, but then I thought it would be better to match the buttons with their website. They still have blue wordings though.
Of you would like to change the PayPal buttons on your stores, do grab them from PayPal's Logo Merchant Communication page.
