In an earlier post, I was talking about alcoholism. Although I do not know of anyone who managed to kick his bad drinking habit, I do know of drug addicts who managed to come clean after enrolling in a Drug and Alcohol Rehab Center which has specific treatment and rehabilitation programs for specific addictions.
Do you think that if we know the causes of addiction, whether drug or alcohol or any other kinds of addiction that it would be easier to treat? If we know WHY a person is fuelling his addiction, I am sure that once we go to the root cause, we would then be able to help the addict overcome it. This is just my view only, of course.
Like I said, I do know of people who have successfully come clean after years of being an addict. That is why I always encourage people to seek professional help when they notice that they are getting caught in the web of addiction. Of course, it would not be easy for an individual to recognize the addiction but I believe that people around him, his friends, family, colleagues and those who care, would notice a change in his behavior. They should help and guide him to look for a suitable Addiction Drug Rehab Treatment program.
Other people have been successful in coming clean. This is always possible as long as we are open to treatments. What do you think?
