As a follow up to my post "Going Mobile", I believe that all business people should start to equip themselves with mobile devices so that they could access important information and their email on the go. As you know, business people are always on the move and it is impossible to stick to the desk all day long.
Well, as technology advances, now not only do business people need to be connected, even students and professionals need to go mobile as well.
Physicians and other people in the medial profession are able to access vital drug and medical information via mobile CME thanks to Epocrates. For your information, CME stands for "Continuing Medical Education".
Epocrates has developed compatible software for various mobile devices, including the Apple iPhone, to enable doctors and physicians to access their database for reference.

I totally agree with you. Going mobile is happening everywhere. Not just business people or doctors. I am a nurse at the community hospital in Kentucky. We had a very tech-savvy CMO who launched a program that gave us palms with clinical software - physicians got 5mcc, a2zdrugs, medical letter & nurses got 5mcc, davis drug guide, rnotes, tabers, nurses fast facts. The products were from Skyscape. The nice part was that the content was the same as the books we used to keep on our desks - except we didn't have to lug them all wherever we went!
If you want to check out this revolution, go on google and type 'skyscape' to see what all is available. I think they are on all the pda and phone platforms. I am saving up for a Nokia phone that runs all of these resources.
I don't mind admitting that I was cynical at first, but now I am a big believer of the mobile technology! Look ma, no wires!!
