People who know me know that I am not someone who wears too much accessories. However, this does not mean that I do not appreciate them. I especially like handcrafted designer jewelry though.
The other day, my friend asked me if I would willingly pay more for a piece of handcrafted jewelry that is one of a kind. Well, I do think that handcrafted items, whether they are jewelry or something else, if they are handmade, then we should pay more for them!
Craft work is a skill that we should appreciate. If we don't then by all means, we should just purchase something that had been manufactured in a factory in bulk where you can get copies of the same item at very reasonable prices.
Last week, I had the opportunity to visit a friend who makes wire jewelry at home and sell them on the internet. I was very impressed with her creativity and her show of artistic talent on small piece of wire jewelry! I am glad that there are so many people who appreciate it too judging from the brisk sales she is doing.
