Falling Back To An Online Business During Recession

While companies downsize and many people are losing their jobs, some of the more enterprising ones are setting up home-based web businesses and have found success in their new venture.

Although during an economic downturn like this where everyone terns to spend less, the fact is that people continue to spend money online making purchases for goods and services mainly because they get to save time and money by shopping online and this provides a window of opportunity for web-based businesses.

Web-based businesses that are operated from home are running on extremely low capital outlay but it takes a lot of self-discipline to keep the long hours, and not seeing the returns in the early days.

I see that many of those who are successful NOW are those who have a head start simply for the fact that they started a web-based business WHILE they were still under employment. Whether they are now no longer employed because they were asked to leave, or if they opted to leave by themselves because there is no further way to prove themselves at the company, they are comfortable enough to be their own boss now.

So, if you have a passion for anything at all, you should analyze to see how you can venture into business fueled by that passion and whatever skills you own WHILST you are still under employment. We never know what the future holds and you may one day see that your part time home based web business venture become more fulfilling than your day job and that is the time to leave.

Despite the stats, I see so many high paying jobs posted on employment sites -

www.linkedin.com (networking)
www.indeed.com (aggregated lists)
www.realmatch.com (matches you to jobs)

I see 75K, 100K and 150K jobs
