A reader wrote in to me telling me that it would soon be time to pick up some stocks on Wall Street. Although I hold a US stock trading account, I am not brave enough to buy stocks right now even though they are on major sale. A friend lost a lot of money last month buying Lehman Brothers when it was low too.
I think that I would be better off investing in precious metals. Not trading on paper only but holding my metals. I read on Monex Precious Metals, a precious metals brokerage firm, that they do have real gold or silver where customers could request to have them shipped to their desired address. I think this is wonderful.
However, I do not know of anyone who has personal experience with keeping physically gold or silver as most of my friends trade commodities on paper only. Hhmm I guess I would have to get the safekeeping of precious metals figured out first.
