If you thought that you have seen everything that is odd enough to be seen on eBay, then how about seeing Iceland put on auction on eBay? Starting bid was at only 99p but soon rose to a staggering eight figures!
Honestly, when it comes to items like these, one does not know if the listing is authentic or not. Is this seller authorized to sell off Iceland? After some hours, the listing has been pulled off, even though I remember for sure that the item will only end on 17th October, 2008, a seven-day listing.
I guess now that the item is off eBay, it just shows how authentic this auction of Iceland on eBay and that the whole thing is just a joke. However, what amuses me is that there will always be bids even though people may not really believe that the item is authentic.
