I don’t know if this is good news or not but I was informed that PayPal is in the process of upgrading its global services which includes local domains, which means that if you are in Malaysia, you will be directed to a local .com.my address and will be offered services tailored to your local needs.
I just tried logging into PayPal a couple of hours ago but it was still the same US domain. My concern is if we will be getting the same features as we are enjoying right now and if we will finally get to initiate direct withdrawal of PayPal funds to our local Malaysian bank accounts. That would be a tremendous breakthrough; especially if they could raise withdrawal limits and yet keep service fee lower.
Like I mentioned, PayPal has extended its language support to include eight foreign languages, including Bahasa Indonesia. Even if they do not give us Bahasa Malaysia, I think that shouldn't be much of a concern since most of us have no problems using PayPal in English, right?
