My friend has been complaining that despite having been married for ten years now, her husband still "owes" her a wedding ring. Well, I do understand that some couples did not bother to get a wedding ring when they marry because of lack of finances and after all, a legal marriage certificate is more important in the eyes of the law but I also understand that wedding rings, and for that matter, engagement rings, symbolize many things, particularly love and unity between two people.
My friend and her husband are quite well-to-do now but it's funny that my friend, though in her heart misses a wedding ring in her marriage, could not bring herself to ask her husband to buy her a wedding ring. Her excuse is that she is not a ring person and that even if he bought her a diamond wedding ring, she would not want to wear it all the time.
I think that my friend should just let her husband know what she wants outright. Don’t you think so?

Why doesn't your friend just show her husband the Wedding Ring Workshop website and leave it to him to suggest how much fun they could have making each other's rings with their own hands? She could call them anniversary rings - lot's of couples do - so her husband doesn't have to feel guilty about the ten year delay!
