BB & Airsoft Guns On eBay Malaysia

While browsing through eBay Malaysia recently to update myself on the latest products available on eBay Malaysia that are offered by local sellers, I noticed quite a few sellers selling BB and Airsoft guns.

I believe the administrators of eBay Malaysia do not know the country law which disallows buying, selling or owning BB and Airsoft guns. These are considered 'dangerous weapons' and truly they are if used inappropriately.

If I remember correctly, Lelong Malaysia has already banned listing BB and Airsoft guns and this was in effect probably two years already or longer. I guess Malaysian traders of such products have taken their items from Lelong to eBay Malaysia.

I think the trading of BB and Airsoft guns online has to be stopped before these BB and Airsoft guns get into the wrong hands and used with criminal intent.

Although I agree with you that the sale of airsoft on local online trading websites is wrong, nevertheless it doesn't warrant narrow minded remarks like "...has to be stopped before these BB and Airsoft guns get into the wrong hands and used with criminal intent." Would you say the same thing for kitchen knives falling into the wrong hands? Because in reality a kitchen knife is far more dangerous than an airsoft gun. Efforts are being taken to legalize airsoft locally and remarks such as these causes a misconception with airsoft. It would be far more constructive if you limit your comments to the fact that selling 1:1 scale of replica firearms is not legal at this point in time, period, and has nothing to do with aiding or facilitating a crime.

Airsoft gun maybe able to cause pain or injury... but to kill? this is ridiculous... never heard of people killed by an airsoft gun... lost an eye? yes... but a moron would point a toy gun to one's eye...

i agree with the 1st comment... the knives are far more dangerous in this case. If i hold an airsoft against a knife, i'll sure as hell drop to find a 'parang'...

maybe it is because the issue of some criminal activities related with the use of replica firearms. If i were a jewellery store guard, i won't hesitate to fire those remington pump guns. You can cause pain with airsoft, but yet it won't be able to kill. besides, after spending almost 2k to buy an airsoft, why would you sign a deathwish to rob a bank?

I heard the airsoft banned story was started like that some assholes malays go rob the bank with this beautiful and cool airsoft gun around 3 years ago. So before this had happened they will sell airsoft full replica as nice as the one they have in america. I love airsoft and i wanted a M4A1 with grenade launcher. i wish those people are in hell.
