My friend told me excitedly about the designer jewelry pieces that she bought last night and how expensive they were. I know she was trying to boats but I don't really care for jewelry. I don't mind wearing costume jewelry because they are cheaper, hence I could buy more of them to match my many different outfits to suit various occasions.
Although I am not an accessories person, I do concede that sometimes, we do need jewelry to add a finishing touch and exquisite designer costume jewelry does the trick as well. There is no reason to spend a mini fortune on one item and wear the same item over and over again because we could not afford a second piece.
