My friend very excitedly sent me a text message this morning, saying that the birthday present he bought himself arrived today, on his birthday! I thought that being a tech geek, he would have bought yet another high tech gadget again but surprisingly, he went online to buy gold coins. You won't believe the number of times I have suggested to him to invest some of his money instead of spending so much on electronic gadgets but he said that he wasn't interested.
You can imagine I am so happy for him that he finally sees sense and finally making use of the cash that has been sitting in his bank account. I have always thought that it is a waste to leave the money idle like that as savings account interest rates are so low.
Now that he has started to collect gold coins, I really should start buying gold coins too. It's something to keep for the future.
