PayPal Shuts Accounts Of Dozens Of Copyright Infringers

PayPal, acting on reports by Motion Picture Association (Asia-Pacific), has shut down the accounts of dozens of people whom have been identified as using the service to receive payment for selling pirated DVDs and BluRay discs. According to news reports, MPA has tracked these people over the past three months.

PayPal has stated in its term of use that the service is not for those who violate or infringe copyrights and hence, these people should have seen this coming. I wonder what happens to the balances in these accounts. Will PayPal refund the monies to buyers? I think that's the way it should be.
