I received a text message on my phone early one morning, an alert of my AMEX credit card being charged for an online purchase. I was sleeping at that time, so obviously, it wasn't me who made that purchase.
Straightaway, I called up my bank, but was told that their system was under maintenance. Why on earth did they write that their system is 24/7?
Anyway, I called up again at 7am to have my card blocked. Although the amount was small, only USD13.25, it was still creepy to know that it was an unauthorised transaction.
Apparently, it happens quite commonly for AMEX cards. Is it true?
