Good news for those of us who earn US Dollars. After being lacklustre for the past month, the US Dollar is finally showing signs of some recovery these past few days. The above graph* shows the past month's historical exchange rate between the Ringgit (MYR) against the US Dollar (USD) from 18th November, 2009 to 17th December, 2009 whereby you could actually see it touching a low of 3.36 on 25th November, 2009 and hitting a high of 3.44 on 12th December, 2009.
Of course, a strong US Dollar isn't something good for those who have to spend the Dollar, either because of business, education or travel but for those who earn it, of course this is great!
For someone like me who earns and spends USD, the gain or loss from the exchange rate is slight. It all depends on my own timing. I guess one could call it "luck". Still, I prefer it if the USD is a lot stronger! Am I dreaming?
