A North Carolina woman had a windfall when she put up her original Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) on eBay recently, including a few original games. The auction attracted a lot of interest. Most importantly, it attracted a lot of bids, with the winning bid at US$13,105. That's a lot of money to pay for an old game system and games, isn't it? Who is that crazy? You know, I am from the era of this original Nintendo Entertainment System. Almost all my friends who came from above middle class families owned one! I didn't but I had a clone, simply because my parents could only afford that.
But I tell you, if I had an original Nintendo, after reading about this eBay auction, I would be digging it out and putting it on eBay pronto! Who would have thought "junk" like this, though still in good condition and playable, would worth this much? Oh, well, game aficionados, obviously!
