"Own" An Entire Hotel For 24 Hours

This auction is really interesting. A hotel in San Diego, Little Italy’s Porto Vista Hotel, is being put up on auction where the winning bidder and 300 of his or her closest friends and family can celebrate in for 24 hours from noon of 31st December, 2010 until noon of 1st January, 2011. This means that if you are planning the ultimate New Year's bash and you have the money for it, this is something that's worth considering.

Bidding has started and will be available until 26th November, 2010. Opening bid is "only" US$1000 but I wouldn't be surprised if the price goes up quickly as this auction package includes the hotels 189 rooms and VIP suites, Glass Door Restaurant with personal chef and customized medu for a meal for up to 50 VIP guests, a party on the Ripassi rooftop deck for 300 guests, DJ, personalized menu, open bar, private luxury cabanas and the use of the entire team of hotel staff for that 24 hours.

Well, if anyone dreams of owning a hotel but couldn't afford it, perhaps it's still a dream come true to own one for 24 hours.
