To Study In A Charter School

Yesterday, I read that a Charter High School in Minnesota, USA, opened its doors to students in September, 2007. I read that they have a very interesting curriculum where their hours are very flexible, as if state schools are not liberal enough, and they get to study many different kinds of subjects although they are only from Grades 10 to 12.

This particular Charter High School is sponsored by Capella University, the online university, to bring education opportunities to the children, different from what they get from regular public schools. This school, The East Range Academy of Technology and Science (ERATS), is also a public high school, just that it is operated independently.

Although students are taught robotics, science and technology, web design and other similarly interesting subjects, I believe that they would be able to continue to pursue other more conventional courses like a psychology degree when they proceed to university.

It would be great if every student has the option to choose which kind of high school he or she would like to attend but I know that this will only be possible if every major city has a charter high school.
