Price Bargaining

A friend asked me if he could negotiate the price with his seller. He won an item recently, you see, and thought that he does not want to pay that much because he misjudged the shipping and handling fees.

Well, I believe that I have written about a similar issue. The point is not whether one is willing to pay the amount but that by winning an item in an auction, it constitutes an agreement and the Buyer is expected to pay whatever the amount that he has won the item for, including shipping and handling, if any.

Of course, it does not harm to ask for a rebate. Some Sellers would oblige, if he could absorb it but if it is not given, do not curse and swear.

An auction marketplace is not a night market where the person with the thickest face and loudest voice wins. And not everyone is Thai where bargaining is a custom. Anyway, I told my friend to request for it if he wants but pay graciously if his request is declined.
