Tim Allen’s Ford Mustang on eBay

Comedian and actor Tim Allen's car, a 2008 Ford Mustang, is on eBay. Besides this car being owned by a celebrity, this 2008 Bullitt finished in Dark Highland Green is coloured after Steve McQueen’s fastback Mustang from the movie ‘Bullitt’ and is one of only 5,773 built.

At this time of writing, the item has already received ten bids with the current bid at US$20,300 though reserve is not met yet.

Lindsay Lohan Designed Ungaro Dresses On eBay

Lindsay Lohan is in the news more often than not for all the wrong reasons. While she is busy getting in and out of the courts, four dresses that she designed that carry the Ungaro label, are being sold on eBay at steeply marked down prices.

The collaboration with Ungaro failed and many of Lindsay's designs did not see the light of day. Subsequently, Ungaro even said that they are no longer working with Lindsay. SIGH!

Well, even if these dresses do carry the Ungaro name, at an average price of US$450, don't you think they are way too expensive?

Cash & Carry Shopping

My friend and I went on a shopping frenzy last weekend. There was a huge Cash & Carry warehouse sale on popular consumer electronics. My friend has had his eyes on a couple of samsung lcd televisions but was waiting for a sale like this before he would buy.

I, on the other hand, did not have anything in mind, yet when I was the price tags on some electronic gadgets, I couldn't resist! The only things IO didn't like were to huge crowd and the fact that we had to make our own arrangements to transport our purchases home. Delivery wasn't provided since it was Cash & Carry.

Autographed Mahendra Singh Dhoni Cricket Bat For Auction

Good news to all fans of Mahendra Singh Dhoni, Indian cricket captain. His autographed cricket bat is now on auction on eBay India, with a starting bid of Rs1. This auction is a collaborative effort between eBay India and Reebok and proceeds will go to CRY India, a non-profit organisation dedicated to securing basic rights of underprivileged children in the country.

It will be interesting to see how much fans of MS Dhoni are willing to pay for his autographed cricket bat in the name of charity. Luckily I'm no fan or I would be on the edge of my seat! Hehe!

Mother's Birthday

My mother will be celebrating her birthday next month and my siblings and I have been wondering what we should get her. My mother is not materialistic and the kind of gift she likes best is cash.

However, after more than sixty years, I still feel like I have never been a good enough daughter. My siblings feel the same. I guess this is a burden that a lot of children carry. We can never repay the "debt" to our parents.

My brother and sister have proposed to buy her Barbados jewelry. I am all for it and I heard that their diamonds are on offer so it is a good time to buy. I just hope that my mother will see our sincerity and not chastise us for being too extravagant!

Urine Free Wetsuit Sells For £8900 On eBay For Japan

Whilst many people complain about eBay and its policies, to me, it is still the best way to sell something simply because of the eyeballs. And there are, once in a while, something that catches the eye and goes viral.

Earlier this week, a seller posted a used wetsuit which he claims to be free from urine, which he was offloading to get some beer money for his impending holiday. The description was so funny that it went viral on social networks and it even caught the attention of the brand of the wetsuit.

The company kindly threw in a new wetsuit to the winner of the auction when the seller, surprised by the attention it received, decided to turn the auction into something more positive. He pledged to donate 90% of the proceeds to Red Cross to help with efforts in Japan.

Other companies began throwing in freebies, it's no doubt a great way to publicise a brand, and all in all, the auction closed at £8,999. Unfortunately, the winner was just a joybidder and so the auction was offered to the second highest bidder. Let's just hope he or she makes good.

Secret Creatine Products

I met up with my cousin in the city last week. We don't really have an opportunity to sit down together but last week, we bumped into each other so we decided to have a meal together. I was amazed that my cousin looks larger now, not flabby, mind you, but his whole body looked like he's stuffed cotton pads underneath his shirt.

He told me that it's all muscles. Wow, he surely must have spent more time in the gym. I thought he said he doesn't have time now that he's working. He told me that his body is all thanks to the secret creatine products that he's taking.

He also stressed that I must keep it a secret especially from his mom as she would never understand why he needs to build his body so. Luckily, she doesn't read my blog!

Oprah Winfrey's 1996 Bentley Azure On eBay

Oprah Winfrey's 42nd birthday present that she bought for herself in 1996 was listed on eBay with a starting bid of US$67,900. Oprah paid US$335,000 for it new. The auction ended without a bid, unfortunately.

I had thought that a rich guy would want it for his wife, since Oprah is touted as the most influential woman in the world and she owned it and used to drive it herself. Since then, there were two other owners, including the current owner, an auto vehicle dealer in Florida.

The seller will probably relist it soon, and maybe they would be looking to revise their selling price too.

Parcel Forwarding Services

I have been reading forums used by eBay sellers and it looks like many, especially in the USA, have been scammed by buyers who are using parcel forwarding services. Whilst sellers can set restrictions to their sale or auction on eBay, and many are not willing to ship outside of the country, especially to Africa and Asia, including Malaysia, buyers with the intention to scam have been using such parcel forwarding services to circumvent this policy, making use of this loophole to their benefit.

It looks like once eBay buyer received the item, he/she will want to return the item for whatever reason, and insists on being reimbursed shipping, inclusive of international shipping. Many buyers have claimed that they are not getting any help from eBay, which I think is a shame as this is getting rampant and puts legitimate sellers at a losing end.

I feel that eBay should address this as soon as possible and quickly identify buyers who are outside of the country but registered with an address in the country. I don't think it's too difficult to pinpoint accounts that are utilizing parcel forwarding services. What do you think?

Unemployed Salesman Sells Himself On eBay

After two years of unemployment and being handed an eviction notice, jobless salesman from the United Kingdom finally took the drastic step to "sell" himself on eBay.

David Wood, at 45 years of age, if finding it difficult to look for employment, and in the last couple of months, he even contemplated suicide. Now on eBay, all he is asking for is just to be employed for £35,000? That's not too much for pay for someone which over 20 years' experience, right?

According to David, his selling experience is vast and he is computer literate. I am sure a company that needs an experienced sales person can give him a chance. Right?

My father was not happy about it because he didn't even do anything. Well, most attorneys would charge even just for consultation!

Ghost For Sale On eBay

I came across this eBay sale, not really of a ghost, but of a doll that is said to have the spirit of a 15-year-old girl trapped inside. The seller says that the girl is called Amber. Well, while it may be true that she has died shortly after receiving the doll as a gift from her grandparents, I don't know if it's possible that her spirit is trapped in the doll.

Whatever it is, for anyone interested to own a creepy doll, it's only selling at US$36.80. It's not an auction but a Buy It Now item. The price has dropped by 8% recently. Maybe there was no response since there is only one day left to the sale now at this time of writing.

Well, if US$36.80 is too expensive for you, then perhaps you could offer your best price to the seller. Or maybe some of the other items by this seller are more interesting. Even browsing through her paranormal store gives me goose bumps!

119 Bank Accounts

Checking the news this morning, I came across a criminal case committed by an Australian teenage boy who opened 119 bank accounts linked to his numerous eBay and PayPal accounts to sell goods that he had no intention to ship. This happened in 2009.

While this sort of fraud is nothing new, I do wonder how he could open 119 bank accounts and multiple eBay and PayPal accounts. Does this mean that he had with him false identifications as well?

While he managed to scam unsuspecting eBay buyers of $40,000, it's funny that an error at a bank caused $2 million to be deposited into one of the fake bank accounts that he managed. He was reported to the police when he tried to access the funds.

Well, it would not have been easy to nab him with his elaborate network of accounts but he foolishly kept a blog, detailing his scheme. What a joke, isn't it?

Owning A Home

My friend just bought a two bedroom apartment in Melbourne, Australia. I am so, so envious of her! Of course, she worked hard for it but so do I!! Well, I believe my time will come!! My friend shared with us photos of her new apartment, which she calls a bird cage. I told her that large or small, it belongs to her now. It beats renting!

Her new apartment still needs to be furnished but she has already installed lighting and bathroom fixtures like lights and bathroom faucets. I really like her new bathtub. I'm surprised she could fit one into her small bathroom. It's luxury. I could just imagine having a long soak in there after a hard day at work!

Now that my friend has achieved her dream of buying her own pad, she has inspired me to do the same. I hope it wouldn't take me too long!!

Porn star, Capri Anderson, who also goes by the names Capri, Alexis Capri, Capri FTV, Capri Nubiles, Christina Walsh, Stella Costanza, has put up her dress on eBay, the one that she wore on the night out with Charlie Sheen, which dramatically ended with her reporting to the police that he tried to strangle her. The cocktail dress has been listed as "pre-owned".

At this time of writing, there are 11 bids and the price has reached US$500.How much do you think it could fetch? I'm sure there are plenty of Capri fans out there fighting to get their hands on it! I'm sure it would be able to command a higher price if she didn't wash it. LOL
